Same chop as the arcade original. Each woods is a world on the map. Clear its trees, then walk the path to the next.

The chop
Tap the left half or the right half. You move to that side and cut one log. The whole trunk drops a slot. A and D do the same. One tap is one chop — holding does nothing.
The branch
Each log has a limb on one side, or none. The log you cut always breaks, branch included. The log above you is the one that lands on your head. If that limb is on your side, switch before you swing. A new branch at the top reaches you in four chops.
Coolant
The cyan bar drains the whole time. Every chop puts some back. Stop swinging and you dry out — that ends the run the same as a branch. Later scores drain a little faster. Pause freezes it.
Degree
Tight chops fill the thermometer and speed the swing. Idle and it cools. At 106° the mascot catches fire and logs pay ×2. Pin it at 212° and the axe is at max speed: full blaze, logs pay ×3, coolant drains a bit harder. Drop the rhythm and the fire falls off. A branch still kills you while you are burning.

Crown, Meek, Corg, Gem, Croak, and Noct are stand-ins on the chop rig. Send meme refs when you want those sprites swapped in — right-facing, full body, one per coin.
